Brutal Bill

Bill Marquez a.k.a “Brutal Bill”, one of the worlds hottest and most recognized producer and DJ, is back with a new attitude and a new sound that recognizes him as one of the greatest all time house producers. Brutal began to spin his unique brand of musical house magic when he was just 13 and before long was playing at some of the biggest and most influential nightclubs in New York City. He fast gained a following among “househeads” and became a fixture of the downtown club scene, with residencies at clubs such as Limelight, Webster Hall, Palladium, and Tunnel. Brutal is a prolific producer and remixer with over 200 titles under his belt including several dance and club classics including a Billboard # 1 hit for his remix of “The Pet Shop Boys” single “To Step Aside” released on Atlantic Records. His international club hits “Destiny” and “Survive” are among the greatest club tracks ever produced. His work has been featured on labels such as Atlantic, Sony, BMG, Strictly Rhythm, Groovilicious, and Nervous Records, to name a few, and he has remixed such stars as Brandy, N Sync, Sugar Ray, Kristine W, Chic, Whitney Houston, Pet Shop Boys and Wamdue Project. His production “Out Of Control” by “Panic Patrol” was featured on the Paramount Motion Picture “Kiss Me Guido”. Currently Brutal has signed on to record a single for Manifesto Records, UK (an affiliate of Mercury Records, US) entitled “Woman Of Angels”, a clever remix of “The Doors” classic “Riders On The Storm”. While continuing to record a full length LP with several artists’ including Greg Denard (Paul McCartneys backup singer), Judy Albanese and his sister Saundra Marquez, Brutal also is producing tracks for Ghost Face Killa from the Wu-Tang Clan. Keeping close to his roots as a DJ, Brutal continues to turn it out at such venues as the Tunnel, Sound Factory and World in New York, and at international clubs such as Red Light in Montreal, Ministry Of Sound in London, and clubs Yellow and Loop in Tokyo, Japan. Without doubt,” Brutal Bill” Marquez is a major force to be reckoned with both in the recording studio, and behind the turntables.
