I have this mid thigh length strapless somewhat poofy black sequin dress that I was planning to wear for the cabaret New Years Eve party that I'm going to tonight. I was talking to my friends that I'm going with and they said they are only wearing dress pants and a sweater. So I am just wondering how fromal is too formal for a cabaret party? I don't want to look out of place at the party and I do have other options to wear but I perfer the sequin dress that I have.
